Description of content: Due to outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) H5N8 and H5N2 in poultry farms in the states of Washington, Idaho, Oregon and California in the United States of America, with immediate effect the Senior Veterinary Officer has imposed a temporary ban on the importation of all live birds, hatching eggs and on fresh, frozen and chilled poultry meat and products, including table eggs from these states.
