Description of content: Emergency measures to prevent the introduction into and the spread within Jordan of Xylella fastidiosa. The measures provide conditions on the import and movement of particular plants which host or are likely to host this bacterium, its timely identification in the affected areas as well as its eradication. The measures include the following:
1. The fruit must be accompanied by an official government phytosanitary certificate, stating in the additional declaration that the consignments are from pest free areas (PFAs) in addition to the previous conditions that exist on the import licence.
2. Suspension of import licences of fruit tree seedlings and ornamental plants from Italy.
