- ruminant fibre (e.g. wool, mohair, cashmere, alpaca, llama, yak)

- macropod fibre

- possum fibre

- rabbit fibre

- mink fibre

- bristles and hair

- feathers

- wool grease/lanolin

- silk

- manufactured items containing fibre

- wool packs

- NZ returned fibre.

The import health standard does not apply to:

- hides and skins

- rawhide articles

- deer/elk velvet for human consumption.

Description of content: The proposed import health standard Animal Fibre has been amended to incorporate international standards for the trade in scoured fibre.
